Iris Cordoba Mondejar

Iris Cordoba Mondejar has developed her professional career linked to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation from a public-private perspective in Latin America and Spain, with a main emphasis on cultural industries, the Spanish economy, and the sports and entertainment industry.

 

Since the beginning of 2015, Iris has led the Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft (GSIC), a unique and collaborative initiative between the public, private, and academic sectors, aiming to promote innovation and digital transformation in the sports industry.

 

With an ecosystem of over 200 companies and institutions from 33 countries, the aim is to reduce the gap between large and small companies. The GSIC has become an international reference and is currently in a phase of international expansion.

 

 With the GSIC initiative since September 2018, Iris Cordoba Mondejar leads the GSIC Institute, which aims to create training content in digital transformation in sports and entrepreneurship courses in the sports industry.

 

 Iris also actively participates as a lecturer in sports and technology-related events at a national and international level. In 2016 and 2018, she was recognized as one of the most influential women in the sports industry according to the annual ranking published by Meta Deporte magazine.

 

Likewise, in 2018, Iris Cordoba Mondejar was recognized as Top 100 of the women leaders ranking published by Mujeres&Cia. Committed to the role of women executives in sports, Iric Cordoba Mondejar participates in different forums that give visibility to women in sports and promote the inclusion of women in STEM careers with an early promotion in education.
